A landmark in touch-based architecture
When ustwo games released Monument Valley in 2014, it proved to the world that mobile games could be genuine works of art. By translating M.C. Escher's impossible geometry into tactile, rotating digital toys, the game created a completely serene atmosphere.
More importantly, it established that a mobile game could tell a poignant, silent story while remaining 100 percent playable offline. There were no social invites, no energy meters, and no pop-up shops.
Lessons in calm aesthetic design
At App Factory, Monument Valley remains an enduring inspiration. When designing Hexa Bloom and Block Flow, we drew heavily on the lesson that color palettes and spatial harmony should soothe the player rather than overstimulate them.
Every turn of a path or placement of a block should feel meditative, offering a peaceful oasis in an otherwise noisy digital world.
Monument Valley proved that tranquility and challenge are not mutually exclusive. They reinforce one another.
Experience Hexa Bloom
Place colorful hex stacks, connect matching tops, and reveal satisfying chain reactions. A relaxing little garden of puzzles.
