How to Break 10000 Points in Block Puzzle Games
The four placement habits separating casual players from top scorers

Habit 1: Always protect a three by three pocket
The single most common cause of sudden death in block puzzles is the appearance of a three by three solid block when your board has no open square of that size. Casual players scatter individual blocks across the board, leaving swiss-cheese gaps.
High-scoring players pick one quadrant (usually a corner) and consciously keep a clean three by three clearance until the game deals that shape. Once placed, clear it out immediately.
Habit 2: Prioritize double and triple line clears
Clearing a single row gives you a small base score. Clearing two lines simultaneously grants a multiplier, and clearing three or four lines yields exponential bonus points.
Instead of clearing rows the moment five blocks line up, look for opportunities where one final corner piece will trigger a horizontal row and vertical column at the exact same instant.
Habit 3: Build along the perimeter first
The central four by four region of the board offers the most flexible placement options for awkward L-shapes and long bars. If you clutter the center early, your margins for error shrink rapidly.
Stack your foundation pieces along the bottom and outer walls, keeping the core open for emergency placements.
Habit 4: Plan for the worst of your three pieces
In Block Flow and similar titles, pieces are dealt in batches of three. You must place all three before receiving the next set. Always check all three pieces before dropping the first one. If one of the three is a giant block, place the first two pieces specifically to create space for it.
