How to Save a Crammed Puzzle Board When You Make a Bad Placement
Tactical recovery steps when an accidental drop leaves an empty hole in your grid

The anatomy of a panic drop
Every block puzzle player knows the sinking feeling: your thumb slips, or you misjudge the board dimensions, and a massive L-shape drops right into the center of your open corridor, creating two unreachable single-tile holes.
Most players panic and start rapid-dropping their remaining pieces, which guarantees a game over within three turns. Instead, take a deep breath and enter triage mode.
The three-step triage protocol
Step 1: Stop and assess your remaining piece inventory. Do not place another block until you examine all three pieces in your tray.
Step 2: Identify the line that is closest to completion. Even if it does not clear your mistake, clearing any single line gives you breathing room.
Step 3: If your run is at a personal best score, do not hesitate to use an Undo booster to reverse the slip. That is what boosters are built for.
