The Score Multiplier Paradox: When to Risk Waiting for a Multi-Line Clear
Calculating board danger versus reward when staging triple and quadruple line clears

The mathematical reward of patience
In Block Flow and classic 8x8 block puzzles, clearing a single line awards standard baseline points. Clearing two lines simultaneously triples your points. Clearing three or four lines with a single placement grants exponential score multipliers.
If your goal is to break a leaderboard record, you cannot simply clear one line at a time; you must stage simultaneous multi-line clears.
The threshold of dangerous board congestion
The danger lies in leaving rows almost full while waiting for that one perfect piece. If your board fills past 65 percent capacity, your risk of receiving a piece you cannot place spikes dramatically.
The golden rule of tournament players is simple: only stage multi-line clears when your board is under half full. The moment board congestion rises, clear whatever single lines you can immediately.
